Norton Museum of Art Welcomes West Palm Beach Residents Free of Charge

The Norton Museum of Art, home to a permanent collection of works by Picasso, Monet, and Matisse, is now welcoming all those who make their home in West Palm Beach to enjoy the entire museum for free every Saturday.

Less than a 10 minute walk from luxury apartments in One City Plaza or Two City Plaza, The Norton Museum is an acclaimed cultural institution that can be right in your neighborhood when you purchase a condo or rent an apartment in downtown West Palm Beach.

The museum is a perfect way to gain inspiration or simply marvel at the abstract expressionist paintings of Jackson Pollock and the magnificent modern art of Henri Matisse. In addition, The Norton Museum Café has been reviewed as an outstanding place to eat lunch. New York Magazine specifically singled out the Café as a must-see destination in West Palm Beach for their escabeche of wahoo and curried chicken salad with green apple slices.

An afternoon spent gazing at the artwork of Gauguin and Miró followed by a delicious lunch is all within a 15 minute walk from your beautiful residence in South Tower or The Prado.

The Norton Museum of Art is not only a daytime activity because with the weekly Art After Dark program, you are invited to socialize, eat, listen to local musical performances, tour and discuss and the museum's collection with like-minded individuals. When you live in downtown West Palm Beach in a building such as CityPlace Tower, you are an easy 15 minute stroll from the activities.

Downtown West Palm Beach is also a wonderful place for families. Children love the Family Studio at the Norton Museum of Art because of the interactive tours and hands-on art activities. The convenience of having a renown museum in your neighborhood can be yours when you decide to rent or own in downtown West Palm Beach.

Well over one thousand works of 19th and 20th century American art from Mary Cassatt to Stuart Davis are housed inside the museum. The Chinese art collection spans the Han dynasty to the Qing dynasty and includes archaic jades, Buddhist sculptures and decorated porcelains. The Modern and Contemporary collections include works by William Kentridge, Yinka Shonibare, and Richard Tuttle. These permanent exhibits along with the popular photography and European works give downtown residents an amazing cultural resource.

When you live so close to major educational institutions such as the The Norton Museum of Art, it's an easy decision to visit the galleries. The people you meet and the historical art you experience can be life-changing.
